Project Story

Tratwo's journey started with a clear mission: to cut through the tangled web of corporate travel challenges. Over 24 months—and fueled by what felt like 10 pizzas a day—our team poured heart and soul into building and fine-tuning a platform that truly simplifies business travel coordination. Leading a close-knit team of five, I was there every step of the way as we designed every feature to be intuitive, secure, and scalable. From the first concept to the final touches, we crafted Tratwo to make travel management feel effortless, knowing it would make a real difference for companies and travelers alike

With a talented team of UI/UX designers and full-stack developers, we set out to build a smooth, user-centric platform. Our technology stack was carefully selected to make Tratwo not only robust but also scalable to meet the demands of large corporations:

We began with in-depth research, interviewing travel managers and analyzing competitor platforms. This process revealed key pain points and guided the features we prioritized: booking workflows, approvals, budget tracking, and more. These insights shaped Tratwo’s foundation, ensuring our solution was tailored to corporate travel needs.

UI/UX Design that Drives Ease

The design team worked to build an experience that’s intuitive for both employees booking trips and managers overseeing budgets. I led the team in creating wireframes and detailed mockups, crafting layouts that make it easy to find and use the platform’s most essential tools, from expense reports to itinerary dashboards.

Development with an Eye for Security and Scalability

Our development process was split between frontend, backend, and database management. We built a responsive interface with React, while the backend’s architecture, powered by Node.js and Express, ensures secure handling of user data, travel bookings, and integrations with hotel and flight providers. MongoDB and SQL store user and booking information, ensuring easy scalability.

Testing and Iteration – Perfecting Every Detail

Testing was key to creating a user-friendly experience. We gathered feedback through usability tests with corporate clients, refining the platform’s booking flows, navigation, and data processing. Continuous testing also helped us maintain high security and performance standards, vital for handling sensitive data.

Tratwo launched with a splash, allowing corporations to move their travel management fully online, from booking to budgeting. Our onboarding process integrated smoothly with each business’s policies and workflows, and we kept a close eye on analytics and feedback, continuously enhancing the platform post-launch.
